  • Renée Desjardins

    Renée Desjardins is an associate professor at the School of Translation at the Université de Saint-Boniface. She has been researching translation and social media for almost fifteen years and is the author of Translation and Social Media: In Theory, in Training and in Professional Practice and a number of other publications connecting these two areas. Her most recent research work has focused on translation strategy and public health communication in Manitoba during the pandemic, which has received institutional funding support, as well as translation in the influencer economy, which has received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

    and Marika Laczko

    Marika Laczko is a research assistant and a graduate of the School of Translation at the Université de Saint-Boniface. She has collaborated on a number of research projects with Prof. Renée Desjardins (Université de Saint-Boniface), including a project on translation strategy and public health communication in Manitoba during the pandemic, which received institutional funding support.
