Kurzfassung Es wird eine Methode zur vereinfachten Berechnung der wahren Größenverteilung von Partikeln in Dispersionsgefügen aus Schliffbildern zur Anwendung in der quantitativen Metallographie vorgestellt. Die stereologische Analyse der zweidimensionalen Objekte des Flächenschnitts erfolgt nach dem Scheil-Saltykov-Verfahren für kugelförmige Teilchen. Die Verlässlichkeit des mathematischen Werkzeugs wird in einem Computertest mit bekannter räumlicher Partikelanordnung kritisch geprüft und ein reales diskontinuierliches Dualphasengefüge ausgewertet. Die Methode erweist sich als in vielen praktischen Fällen erfolgreich einsetzbar und damit geeignet für die Integration in kommerzielle bildanalytische Softwaresysteme. Die Grenzen der Anwendbarkeit des Verfahrens werden diskutiert.

Kurzfassung Das metallische Massivglas Zr 46.8 Ti 8.2 Cu 7.5 Ni 10 Be 27.5 (V4) ist aufgrund seiner guten Festigkeitseigenschaften und seiner glatten Oberfläche ein geeignetes Material für mechanisch beanspruchte Mikrobauteile. Die große Stabilität dieses Glases gegen Kristallisation erlaubt die endformnahe Herstellung von Mikrobauteilen durch superplastische Formgebung unter geringen Drucken bei Temperaturen oberhalb des Glasübergangs. Durch Pressen des V4-Glases mit einem Druck von 5 MPa bei 653 K in tiefgeätzte Si-Formen bzw. in nach dem UV-LIGA-Verfahren hergestellte NiCo-Pressformen können Mikrobauteile von bis zu 500 μm Dicke, mit Detailabmessungen von weniger als 50 μm, mit hoher Präzision und Oberflächengüte hergestellt werden.

Interstitial-free High strength (IF-HS) steels, the tensile strength ranging from 340MPa to 440MPa, are widely used in automobile industry. The major strengthening mechanism employed to increase the tensile strength of ultra-low carbon steels is solution hardening by the additional elements of P, Mn, Si, Cr and Cu. It has been well known that the surface condition of steel sheet substrates before dipping into a molten zinc pot significantly affects the final products quality of galvannealed (GA) steel sheets, i. e., the occurrence of the visual defects so-called “streaky mark” and others in GA process are strongly related to the surface enrichment of oxides in terms of the chemical composition of the steel sheet substrate. In the present study, high strength interstitial-free steel sheets with a relatively high amount of Mn and P were galvannealed in an industrial continuous galvanizing line and streaky-marks formed on the coating surface were characterized by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, electron probe micro analysis and transmission electron microscopy. Effects of streaky marks on the mechanical properties and paintability of GA coating were also investigated.

The effect of process temperature on the bondability of ferritic (AISI-430) and martensitic (AISI-420) stainless steels was studied. Diffusion bonding was investigated experimentally under a protective atmosphere at various temperatures and a defined constant pressure. Microstructure examinations were carried out by the help of SEM and EDS. Hardness values were measured by HV scale under a load of 150 g. A mutual migration of Cr and C atoms was observed, causing a relatively hard microstructure along the interface. Best mechanical and metallurgical properties were observed for the specimen bonded at 1100°C process temperature at 12 MPa, for 20 min.
