In this contribution the parametric approach for output coupling control is extended from lumped-parameter systems to a class of distributed-parameter systems. Thereby, the state feedback for output coupling control is characterized by the closed-loop eigenvalues and their parameter vectors. For these design parameters and the corresponding prefilter design equations are derived assuring that the outputs fulfill given algebraic relations. The geometric properties of the closed-loop eigenvectors needed for output coupling control can be determined in advance using a simple algorithm. Furthermore, a sufficient condition is obtained for output couplability. A simple heat conducting system is used to illustrate the results of the article.
