An X-ray study of 2-mercapto benzimidazole

Abstract

Unit-cell dimensions and space group of 2-mercapto benzimidazole have been determined. The crystal belongs to monoclinic space group P21 – C22. The unit-cell dimensions are a = 8.441 ± 0.001 Å, b = 8.727 ± 0.002 Å, c = 5.019 ± 0.002 Å and angle β = 91°. There are two molecules in the unit cell.
