Abstract

Potassium feldspar crystals with adularia habit have been grown hydrothermally at 500°C and 1000 bars H2O pressure in bombs with a temperature gradient. Optical and x-ray examination has shown that some of the crystals are monoclinic, whereas others are triclinic but with only slight departure from monoclinic symmetry.
