Sorption of radionuclides from complexone solutions in liquid CO2

Summary
Sorption of 241Am and 137Cs on ion-exchange resins with different functional groups from complexone solutions in liquid CO2 was investigated. It was shown that more than 99% of radionuclides could be recovered from liquid CO2 by using strongly acidic resins or H2C2O4·2H2O. Ion-exchange capacity of KU2-8 (analog of DOWEX-50-8) in liquid CO2 was estimated.
