Heteropoly Salts

Part III: Some Alkali Mixed Salts of Heteropoly Acids and their Correlation with Base Exchange Properties

Summary

A number of mixed alkali phosphotungstates such as the dicaesium sodium salt have been isolated. Mixed salts containing divalent or trivalent ions such as barium or cerium have been prepared. Similarly, mixed salts of alkali phosphomolybdates and silicotungstates have been examined. These alkali mixed salts have properties similar to the parent dialkali hydrogen heteropoly salt. Most of the simple and mixed salts of heteropoly acids examined, have strong base exchange properties and these are discussed.
