Abstract
Various crafts as found in the Hittite sources are discussed. The role of the craftsmen and master craftsmen (DUMU UMMIAN/LÚ.MEŠUMMIANUTIM) working with the raw materials wool, leather, wood and reed is laid out in detail. Prices are given where possible, and the different spheres in which the products were required and utilized are described.
