L’enracinement folklorique du Lai de Tydorel

Abstrait
Le Lai de Tydorel (fin du XIIe siècle) porte des traces importantes d’éléments folkloriques, que l’on peut identifier à la lumière des répertoires de motifs narratifs de Thompson et de Guerreau-Jalabert. Nous lisons ici le texte en ce sens, en repérant deux motifs principaux, qui en fournissent le schéma général, ainsi que deux motifs de moindre envergure, mais tout aussi importants dans l’économie du texte.
Abstract
The Lai de Tydorel (late 12th century) bears important traces of folkloric elements which can be identified with the help of Thompson’s and Guerreau-Jalabert’s narrative motif index. We will read this lai with these elements in mind, identifying two main motifs that shape the narrative, as well as two minor motifs that are nonetheless important in the economy of the text.
Zusammenfassung
Der Lai de Tydorel (spätes zwölftes Jahrhundert) enthält wichtige Elemente für die Erzählforschung, die mit Hilfe von Thomsons und Guerreau-Jalaberts Motiv-Indices herausgearbeitet werden können. Wir werden dieses lai unter diesen Gesichtspunkten lesen und zwei Hauptmotive identifizieren, die das generelle Thema darstellen. Zwei weitere Motive werden diskutiert, weil sie die Funktionalität des Textes sicherstellen.
