Weiß – Rot – Schwarz: „Die drei Farben der Poesie“
Zusammenfassung
Seit seiner ersten Aufsatzveröffentlichung (1807; über Farben im Parzival) hat sich Jacob Grimm kontinuierlich für Belege und Bedeutungen der Farbtrias Weiß-Rot-Schwarz interessiert. Die Evolution und Wandlung der Formel im Sneewittchen-Märchen (zwischen 1808 und 1857) werden nachgezeichnet und durch Beiziehung vieler Quellen aus acht Jahrhunderten europäischer Literaturgeschichte ergänzt, so daß sie in neuem Licht erscheinen.
Abstract
Ever since the publication of his first article (1807; on the colours in Parzival) Jacob Grimm has been continuously interested in the attestations and significations of the three colours white-red-black. The present article traces the evolution and the modifications of the formula in the Snow White tale (between 1808 and 1857), providing, by way of supplement, numerous sources from eight centuries of European literature and shedding new light on the history of the motif.

Depuis la publication de son premier article (1807; sur les couleurs dans le Parzival), Jacob Grimm s’est toujours intéressé aux attestations et significations des trois couleurs blancrouge- noir. Le présent article trace l’évolution et les modifications de la formule dans le conte de Blanche-Neige (entre 1808 et 1857) et fournit de nombreuses sources nouvelles provenant de huit siècles de littérature européene, faisant paraître l’histoire du motif sous un nouveau jour.
