Der Wandel des Selbstbildes der öffentlichen Bibliotheken Deutschlands in den vergangenen 30 Jahren

Der Artikel zeigt auf, wie sich das Selbstbild der öffentlichen Bibliotheken Deutschlands in Fragen der Finanzierung durch Bibliotheksgebühren unter äußeren wie inneren Einflüssen verändert hat. Zu diesem Zweck werden bibliothekarische Äußerungen aus Fachzeitschriften sowie bibliothekarische Publikationen aus den Jahren 1978 bis 2008 ausgewertet. Vorangestellt ist ein Rückblick auf die Ausgangssituation um 1900. Ein Verlust der sozialen Zielsetzungen wird ermittelt.
This article shows the changes in the self-image of public libraries in Germany concerning financing by readers fees taking into consideration exterior and interior influences. To this end statements in specialist periodicals and publications concerning libraries from 1978 to 2008 are analyzed. A retrospect of the situation around 1900 serves as an introduction. The loss of social objectives is ascertained.
L'article montre comment l'image de soi des bibliothèques publiques en Allemagne s'est modifiée par le financement par frais d'accès et sous des influences extérieures et intérieures. À cette fin des propos bibliothécaires dans les revues spécialisées ainsi que dans des publications bibliothécaires des années 1978 à 2008 sont exploitées. Un coup d'œil rétrospectif sur la situation de départ vers 1900 est mis en tête. Une perte des objectifs sociaux est à constater.
