Qattan Centre for the child in Gaza

Both internal and political disputes as well as blockades and Israeli attacks aggravate the daily life in Gaza and the supply from outside. The “Qattan Centre for the Child“ is a nonprofit cultural and educational institution and operates, amongst other activities on promoting reading skills. Besides the library with more than 100 000 volumes the QCC offers facilities for electronic reading, programming and general knowledge as well as cultural and artistic activities.

Das „Qattan Centre for the Child“ ist eine Kinder- und Jugendbibliothek, eine gemeinnützige Einrichtung der Qattan Stiftung in Gaza. Neben der Bibliothek mit über 100 000 ME bietet das QCC vielfältige Aktivitäten zur Leseförderung, Kurse zur Wissenserweiterung und künstlerischen Förderung sowie ein umfangreiches Veranstaltungsprogramm. So kann Jugendlichen das Recht auf Lernen, Wissen und gesellschaftliches Miteinander auch im traumatisierenden Krisengebiet erhalten bleiben.

Le „Qattan Centre for the Child“, une bibliothèque pour enfants et adolesςants, est un établissement d'utilité publique de la Fondation Qattan à Gaza. À côté de la bibliothèque avec plus de 100 000 médias le QCC offre des activités nombreuses à l'encouragement de la lecture, des cours à l'amplification des connaissances et l'encouragement artistique ainsi que des manifestations à grande échelle. Ainsi le droit à l'étude, au savoir et à la vie sociale peuvent être maintenus pour les adolesçants même dans une situation traumatique.
