Wie wirken sich vergeschlechtlichte* Subjektpositionen in der global orientierten politischen Bildung auf die Fortschreibung kolonialer Machtverhältnisse aus? Sandra Altenberger analysiert Global Citizenship Education (GCE)-Dokumente im Hinblick auf Konstruktionsprozesse von Gender (In-)Equality. Durch die Verbindung einer feministisch-postkolonialen Theorieperspektive mit einer dekonstruktivistisch informierten Diskursanalyse arbeitet sie die Notwendigkeit heraus, historische, gegenwärtige und zukünftige Herrschafts- und Machtverhältnisse zu skandalisieren und zugleich als durch pädagogisch-politische Praxis veränderbar zu begreifen.

Sandra Altenberger (PhD), geb. 1984, lehrt und forscht im Bereich feministisch-postkoloniale Theorien und Critical Global Citizenship Education. Sie war Mitglied des Doktoratskollegs Geschlecht und Geschlechterverhältnisse in Transformation des Centers Interdisziplinäre Geschlechterforschung der Universität Innsbruck und promovierte 2024 zum Thema feministisch-postkoloniale Bildung. Von 2020 bis 2022 war sie Stipendiatin der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (DOC). Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Kritische Pädagogik, Gender und Postcolonial Studies.
