With Regulation (EU) 2019/452, the law on investment control has been given a regulatory framework under EU law for the first time. The present work aims to systematically record the normative justification of direct investment control under the Regulation and its interconnection with the administrative law of the Member States in order to identify the system-forming elements of European foreign direct investment control.

Bei einer Gesamtbetrachtung besticht die ein anspruchsvolles und umfangreiches Thema behandelnde Arbeit zunächst durch eine facettenreiche, differenzierte und sorgfältige Aufarbeitung der Kontrolle ausländischer Direktinvestitionen im EUMehrebenensystem. Dabei erfolgt eine umfassende Auseinandersetzung mit Schrifttum und Rechtsprechung. Über die Analyse hinaus bietet die Arbeit schließlich eine Kontextualisierung sowie eine Reflexionsleistung auf einer höheren und weiterführenden Abstraktionsebene.
