Ein Kapitel aus dem Buch Industrial Quantum Computing

Abstract

The advent of the sixth generation of wireless communication technology, called 6G, brings many more possibilities for the development and evolution of the Internet of things (IoT) and the consequent improvements in our day-to-day lives in the era of quantum computing. The chapter provides a comprehensive look at the complexities of integrating 6G networks with IoT devices, from smart home sensors to industrial ones. It explores the finiteness of resources and the transition path to a sustainable future, including targets, deadlines, and ways of defining and achieving them. Moreover, it stresses the importance of privacy preservation technologies and user-oriented controls for people to have the self-determination to choose and manage their personal information. As security is the main challenge, there should be some measures that can be implemented to ensure that stringent protocols and quantum-safe solutions are used to face these complexities. The chapter offers insights into the critical issues surrounding privacy and security in 6G IoT networks and suggestions for addressing these challenges effectively.
