Marchella Ward
Marchella Ward (“Chella”) is Lecturer in Classical Studies at the Open University, UK. She is the author ofBlindness and Spectatorship in Ancient and Modern Theatres: Towards New Ways of Looking and Looking Back (2023), in which she uses assemblage theory to disassemble the classical tradition. She is also the co-editor ofCritical Ancient World Studies: The Case for Forgetting Classics (2024) and the co-host of the decolonial podcast Radio ReOrient. She writes frequently for non-specialists and also writes for children.
