This chapter is in the book Nonconventional Machining

Abstract

Since vibration assisted machining technology has certain advantages in improving machining accuracy and surface quality, it has always been a research hotspot. This chapter focuses on the application of vibration technology in turning, drilling, cutting, and laser polishing. The vibration assisted machining technologies are described in detail from the aspects of the vibration device, machining mechanism, and machining experiment. The promotion mechanism of vibration technology to traditional metal processing technology is analyzed and verified through numerical simulation and comparative experiments.
