Abstract

This chapter provides a survey of syllable structure and resyllabification in Romance languages. On the one hand, onsets, nuclei, and codas are described according to their content and behavior across the main Romance areas. On the other hand, some specific issues are given special attention as they appear to be relevant for current discussion in phonological theory.
