Abstract
The following article deals with the analysis of dictionary reviews. How are they defined within the framework of text typology? What components and verbal actions can be considered constitutive, obligatory or optional? What are the procedures, the textual patterns and devices used in a dictionary review? The article focuses on different groups of addressees and the specific effects intended by the texts in question. Furthermore, it is to provide a sample analysis of German dictionary reviews in order to clarify some of the above-mentioned textual and pragmatic aspects.
