Abstract

This article looks onto the latest developments of the field of spirituality from an American-Catholic and an European-Protestant perspective. Both perspectives are commented upon to broaden the view. The conditions of the developments and the present level of research are described for both regions. Further themes are denoted. In this way the research is linked up and deepened.

Dieser Artikel betrachtet aus einer amerikanisch-katholischen und einer europäisch-protestantischen Perspektive die neuesten Entwicklungen im Bereich der Spiritualität. Beide Perspektiven werden nochmals auf ihren Ertrag hin kommentiert, um den Horizont zu erweitern. Für beide Regionen werden die Bedingungen der Entwicklungen und der gegenwärtige Stand der Forschung beschrieben. Weitere Themen für die Forschung werden benannt. Damit wird sie vernetzt und zugleich vertieft.
