In recent years, the field of forensic science has seen remarkable advancements through the integration of novel materials and technologies. In the realm of forensic science, the development of cutting-edge technologies has played a pivotal role in aiding investigators to solve complex cases. One such advancement that has captured the attention of forensic experts worldwide is the use of carbon-imprinted polymerspolymers (CIPs). These polymers, designed to selectively recognize and bind to specific molecules, offer significant potential for the detection and analysis of forensic evidence. This chapter explores the synthesis, properties, and forensic applications of CIPscarbon-imprinted polymers, highlighting their advantages and future prospects.
