Philip Sicker, Professor of English at Fordham University, specializes in late nineteenth- and twentieth-century British and European fiction. He is the author of a critical study of Henry James and numerous articles on such modernist writers as Eliot, Lawrence, Mann, Nabokov, and Joyce. He has recently published a series of essays exploring Joyce’s relationship to cinema, and he is currently completing a monograph on visual representation in Ulysses.
