Abstract
This paper provides detailed, article by article commentary on the Principles of European Tort Law (PETL) from the perspective of one of the authors. It highlights areas where, in his opinion, improvements should be made as part of the ongoing process of revision.

The following contribution was submitted to a meeting of the EGTL which was held in 2018 in Girona. The author authorised us to publish this text in the JETL before he passed away in 2022. It has not been previously published.
