Mit Band 32 hat der Verlag De Gruyter die Publikation von Historia Hospitalium 2024 übernommen. In its latest yearbook, the DGK examines the development of hospitals under real existing socialism. The individual chapters discuss the importance of individual hospitals within the healthcare system, the state of their facilities, and how they intersected with the polyclinics.
The Hospital of the Future contains contributions that take a historical perspective to examine visions of the future, plans, and heterotopias in the context of imagined and built hospitals. It uses examples to show how charitable hospitals conceptually linked tradition with the future and how a health system can be planned without hospitals.
