Berliner Klassikertexte
-
Edited by:
Fabian Reiter
Since 1904 the editions of the series Berliner Klassiker Texte have presented first publications of literary texts from the Berlin papyrus collection that have been preserved on papyrus and other materials such as parchment and wax tablets. Some of the works in the volumes are already known from medieval manuscript traditions, others are previously unknown texts or the work of unknown authors. As well as the classical categories of epic, poetry, tragedy, comedy, rhetoric and history, Christian literature and scientific works (astronomy, mathematics, medicine, etc.) are also represented. From volume 10 the Berliner Klassiker Texte appear as an independent series from Verlag De Gruyter.
