About this journal
The Journal of Transition Medicine (JTM) is to be officially discontinued at the end of the year and we don’t accept any submission of manuscripts
Journal of Transition Medicine is the OPEN ACCESS Journal of the SOCIETY OF TRANSITION MEDICINE.
Objective
The Journal of Transition Medicine (JTM) is a multidisciplinary, open access, peer-reviewed journal seeking to publish new research findings in the field of transition medicine ranging from the basic biological and behavioral sciences to public health and policy. The journal is aiming to help young people with chronic diseases to receive better medical care throughout the transition from paediatric to adult medicine. Besides medical doctors, all disciplines working with or committed to improving transitional care, e.g. sociologists, psychologists, social workers, nurses or health service researchers, are asked for submissions. All contributions submitted for publication undergo single-blind peer-review by at least two renowned experts in the field, selected and invited by the Editor-in-Chiefs, allowing a first decision to be reached within 35 days of submission.
The Journal of Transition Medicine is the official organ of the Society for Transition Medicine (GfTM), a multidisciplinary organization committed to improve the healthcare transition of adolescent patients. One of the society's primary goals is the development, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific and scholarly knowledge unique to transition medicine. To meet this goal, the society established the Journal of Transition Medicine in 2017.
