In this paper a numerical efficient approach to the problem of eigenvalue assignment by constant output feedback is presented. It improves the well known Kimura’s condition by 2, i. e., it is shown that if m+p≥n−1m+p\ge n-1 generically a solution to this design problem exists where n,mn,m and p denote the dimensions of the system states, inputs and outputs, respectively. The algorithm is based on a cascaded control scheme with up to three design steps. The first two steps merely require standard methods from linear algebra while the last step only in case of m+p=n−1m+p=n-1 demands for the numerical solution of a system of three polynomial equations each of order two. The design procedure explicitly embodies all degrees of freedom beyond eigenvalue assignment. Thus, they can be used to account for other design it is shown goals, e. g., to minimize the spectral condition number of the closed-loop system or a norm of the feedback gain as it is shown by numerical examples from literature.

Zusammenfassung Bei einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen aus dem Bereich der Ingenieurwissenschaften ist die Berechnung garantierter Einschlüsse der Mengen aller erreichbaren Zustandsgrößen von großem Interesse. Mögliche Anwendungsszenarien umfassen den Entwurf sowie die rechnergestützte Verifikation von (nicht-)linearen Zustandsregelungen sowie die Implementierung robuster modell-prädiktiver Regelungsansätze. Viele der hierbei betrachteten Anwendungen lassen sich nach einer geeigneten regelungsorientierten Modellbildung sowie gegebenenfalls nach einer Zustandstransformation in Form von gewöhnlichen Differentialgleichungssystemen mit einem dominierenden linearen Anteil beschreiben, wobei nichtlineare Effekte nicht vollständig vernachlässigt werden sollten. Für die Berechnung gesicherter Zustandseinschlüsse lassen sich beispielsweise allgemeine Ansätze basierend auf Taylor-Reihenentwicklungen der zu bestimmenden Lösungen heranziehen. Diese allgemeinen Ansätze nutzen jedoch in der Regel kein Vorwissen über systemspezifische Eigenschaften wie quasi-lineare Dynamik oder Stabilität. Um diese Eigenschaften in der Praxis effizient nutzbar zu machen, wird im Rahmen dieser Arbeit ein Exponentialansatz zur Berechnung garantierter Lösungseinschlüsse für Systeme gewöhnlicher Differentialgleichungen hergeleitet, der ausgehend von einer reellwertigen Implementierung für Systeme mit aperiodischer Dynamik auf die Berechnung komplexwertiger Zustandseinschlüsse für Prozesse mit oszillatorischem Verhalten verallgemeinert wird. Zum Abschluss werden Möglichkeiten vorgestellt, die entwickelten Verfahren auf Systeme von fraktionalen Differentialgleichungen auszudehnen.

Zusammenfassung Im Beitrag wird gezeigt, wie sich die Ackermann’sche Formel zur Polvorgabe bei zeitkontinuierlichen Ein- und Mehrgrößenzustandsregelungen in einfacher Weise auf nicht vollständig steuerbare Regelstrecken erweitern lässt. Das vorgestellte Verfahren basiert auf einer teilsystemorientierten Zustandstransformation in Verbindung mit der Einführung zusätzlicher fiktiver Stellgrößen, über die nichtsteuerbare Streckeneigenwerte formal beeinflusst werden könnten, aber durch Nullsetzen dieser Stellgrößen nicht beeinflusst werden. Dem Reglerentwurf vorausgehende Maßnahmen zur Elimination von nicht steuerbaren Anteilen aus dem Streckenmodell sind daher nicht erforderlich. Im Vergleich zum Fall einer vollständig steuerbaren Regelstrecke erfordert die Anwendung des vorgestellten Verfahrens kaum Mehraufwand, was am Beispiel eines Eingrößen- und eines Mehrgrößensystems illustriert wird.

The inherent compliant and safe structure of fluid driven continuum manipulators makes them a promising solution for various tasks. Despite their cheap production costs these robots have yet not found their way into industrial applications. This is due to the lack of precise models as well as control strategies which are both open fields of research. A basic industrial task is to control the force the manipulator exerts at its tool center point on a given object. In this work we present a hybrid force/position controller (HFPC) for the Bionic Soft Arm (BSA). It is assumed that contact is only established at the tool center point where the contact force can be measured. Further, we show how to extend the basic HFPC approach in order to overcome model inaccuracies. Experimental results are provided for the BSA where the HFPC is incorporated into an existing structure.

A markerless system for the registration of a bone’s pose is presented which reduces the setup time and the damage to the bone to a minimum. For the registration, a particle filter is implemented which is able to estimate a bone’s pose using depth images. In a phantom study, the pose of 3D-printed bones has been estimated at a rate of 90 Hz and with a precision of a few millimeters. The particle filter is stable under partial occlusions and only diverges when the bone is fully occluded. During a cadaver study, the preoperatively planned cutting edges have been projected as augmented reality (AR) templates onto the hip bones of five cadavers. By cutting manually along the AR templates, surgeons were able to extract ten transplants in the same time as with conventional osteotomy templates. Using the presented navigation system can save hours spent on the construction and production of conventional templates. In conclusion, this work represents one step towards a broader acceptance of robotic osteotomies.

This paper proposes a lateral lane change obstacle avoidance constraint control simulation algorithm based on the driving behavior recognition of the preceding vehicles in adjacent lanes. Firstly, the driving behavior of the preceding vehicles is recognized based on the Hidden Markov Model, this research uses longitudinal velocity, lateral displacement and lateral velocity as the optimal observation signals to recognize the driving behaviors including lane-keeping, left-lane-changing or right-lane-changing; Secondly, through the simulation of the dangerous cutting-in behavior of the preceding vehicles in adjacent lanes, this paper calculates the ideal front wheel steering angle according to the designed lateral acceleration in the process of obstacle avoidance, designs the vehicle lateral motion controller by combining the backstepping and Dynamic Surface Control, and the safety boundary of the lateral motion is constrained based on the Barrier Lyapunov Function; Finally, simulation model is built, and the simulation results show that the designed controller has good performance. This active safety technology effectively reduces the impact on the autonomous vehicle safety when the preceding vehicle suddenly cuts into the lane.

Zusammenfassung Zum Entwurf robuster, strukturbeschränkter Ausgangsrückführungen existieren bereits einige frei verfügbare oder in weitverbreiteten Programmen enthaltene Werkzeuge, die vor allem auf dem H∞{\mathcal{H}_{\infty }}-Ansatz zum Entwurf von Regelungen basieren, jedoch ist die Anzahl frei verfügbarer Werkzeuge überschaubar und es existieren keine freien Werkzeuge zur Polbereichsvorgabe. Aus diesem Grund wird im vorliegenden Beitrag ein Werkzeug namens gammasyn vorgestellt, mit dem über einen Multimodellansatz strukturbeschränkte Ausgangsrückführungen robust mittels Polbereichsvorgabe entworfen werden können. Die Toolbox verwendet den in [9] vorgeschlagenen Straffunktionsansatz sowie beschränkte Optimierung und es werden einige Erweiterungen dieses Ansatzes sowie der Funktionsumfang der Toolbox beschrieben.
