Florian G.M. Fischer studierte Kommunikationsdesign, Fotografie und Bildwissenschaften. Seine künstlerische Arbeit bedient sich der Medien Fotografie und Film. Für seine fotografische Serie »Das Blaue vom Himmel« wurde er mit dem Aenne-Biermann-Preis für Gegenwartsfotografie und für den Film »Kaltes Tal« (Co-Regie Johannes Krell) mit dem Deutschen Kurzfilmpreis ausgezeichnet. Er war Stipendiat der Villa Aurora und lebt in Leipzig.
