About this book
The literary echo dialogue oscillates between social exclusion and the communicative suggestion of hope. Exclusion dominates in the poetry of the 16th century: the encounter with the echo in the lonely natural space signifies the isolated subject. This poetics is successively reversed in the German 17th century. With its embedding within new genres and contexts, the echo becomes the paradigm of discursivity and the creation of community.
