About this book
Contrary to what has been assumed in archaeological research, there was a categorical difference between classical Attic tomb precincts and the freestanding, square tombs that arose from around 600 BCE in Kerameikos in Athens. The largely overlooked memorial genre of Attic tomb architecture has its own tradition that stretches right into the age of the Roman Empire.
