Morphology and space group of hexaantipyrine perchlorate complexes of Mg++, Ca++ and Zn++, and pentaantipyrine perchlorate of Cu++

Abstract
Morphology and x-ray study of hexaantipyrine perchlorate complexes of Mg++, Ca++ and Zn++ show that they are isomorphous, crystallizing in the space group P[unk] with one molecule in the unit cell. A similar study shows that copper pentaantipyrine perchlorate crystallizes with a tetramolecular unit cell, space group P21/a. The cell dimensions are:
Mg(C11H12ON2)6(ClO4)2: a = 14.06, c = 9.76 Å
Ca(C11H12ON2)6(ClO4)2: a = 14.33, c = 9.78 Å
Zn(C11H12ON2)6(ClO4)2: a = 14.14, c = 9.61 Å
Cu(C11H12ON2)5(ClO4)2: a = 19.52, b = 16.27, c = 18.99 Å, β = 102°36′
