Summary
The ligand substitution reactions of [Tc(tu)6]3+ with cyclohexane-1,2-diaminetetraacetic acid (CyDTA) and citrate (cit) have been investigated by spectrophotometry. These studies indicate that stabilities of resulted Tc(III) complexes and rates of substitution reactions are different with substituting ligands. An attempt has been taken to understand the kinetics of the substitution reactions, which reveals that the rate law of the reaction of [Tc(tu)6]3+ with CyDTA can be written as
, while the rate law of the reaction of [Tc(tu)6]3+ with cit can be written as
.
