Complex Polyphosphates in Irradiated Phosphorus Oxy-Anions

Summary
Several salts of phosphorus oxy-anions were investigated by anion exchange chromatography with a view toward resolving whether complex polyphosphates were formed following neutron capture. For the sodium monohydrogen and dihydrogen orthophosphates a significant fraction of the activity was found on elution with a strong acid Solution indicating the presence of such complex material. Trisodium orthophosphate gave anomalous results while the reduced State showed negligible concentrations.
