Abstract
The Neo-Assyrian collection tablet K 3477(+)3582 comprises three hymns to different goddesses. The first contains a hitherto unidentified praise of the warrior-goddess Ištar of Arbela. The second text is dedicated to Nanāja/Tašmētu and her husband Nabû, and the third most probably to Ištar of Nineveh. The information provided by the tablet’s colophon indicates that the manuscript was written by or on behalf of Ashurbanipal and subsequently deposited in the Emašmaš temple in Nineveh. This paper presents an updated edition and a discussion of the hymns.
