Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegenden Analysen werden von der These getragen, dass die Ursachen bzw. Umwelten sozialer Konflikte mit dem Konflikt selbst nicht identisch sind - obwohl man sie oft damit assoziiert. Im scharfen Kontrast zu den Annahmen konventioneller Konflikttheorien bezeichnet der soziale Konflikt im vorliegenden Begriffsverständnis eine höchst eigenwillige Form des Sozialen, dessen Binnenstruktur differenztheoretisch beobachtet und auf der Basis ablaufender Kommunikationen detailliert rekonstruiert werden kann. Konflikte sind nicht >da<, sondern sie werden gemacht, und im Gegensatz zu den unendlichen Möglichkeiten ihrer Konstitution sind die Prozesse ihres Ordnungsaufbaus äußerst begrenzt. Im Zuge ihrer Ausdifferenzierung haben sich insbesondere vier Formen des Konflikts zu erkennen gegeben, die jeweils Teil einer umfassenden Prozesslogik sind und deren Strukturen in den Selektionsbedingungen widersprüchlicher Sinnzumutungen wurzeln.
