Manganese sulfide fish / Mangansulfid-Fisch

Manganese sulfide in machining steel 46S20; the manganese sulfide contains a non-metallic inclusion (the ‘eye’ of the fish) that has not been further identified. Nital etching, 3 %. SEM image, 4000×.
