Abstract
The first special section of International Public History to focus on Graphic History as Pedagogy includes the Graphic Collections profiles the following collections: Yoshihiro Yonezawa Memorial Library of Manga and Subcultures; Latin American Comics Archive (LACA) – Carnegie Mellon University; Comic Archive at Goethe-University Frankfurt, Institute of Children’s and Young Adult Literature Research; The Center for the Study of Graphic Literature at the University of Hamburg; Graphic Medicine Collection – Countway Library Graphic Medicine Collection, Harvard Medical Library, Harvard University; and the Nextcomic-Festival. The collections profiled represent a fraction of comic collections and festivals worldwide. What is included is not definitive but rather a small sampling to hopefully spark larger dialogues and awareness of graphic history in all its spheres and discussions.
