Abstract
While the ethical sermon is a common phenomenon in Christian services, it is not sufficiently reflected in homiletics. The author introduces the ethical theory of Johannes Fischer as a means of analyzing the ethical sermon. Accordingly, a sermon that addresses both reason and intuition can be shown to provide moral orientation to its audience.
