Topical focus

The XVth Netherlands Catalysis and Chemistry Conference will take place March 10–12, 2014 in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands. NCCC combines a number of national symposia in the field of chemistry and catalysis. The Flanders-Belgium catalysis and chemistry community also contributes to this conference. NCCC-XV offers a unique, international forum to exchange innovative ideas between academic and industrial scientists in a broad area of catalysis and chemistry.

Scope

NCCC attracts about 500 participants, including 100 scientists from industry. The meeting comprises plenary and keynote lectures by invited speakers and selected oral papers and posters. Scientists, and especially PhD students, are encouraged to submit abstracts so they can present their work, discuss it with leading scientists and representatives from industry.

Scientific programme

The scientific programme consist of 13 plenary and keynote lectures, about 90 oral papers and 180 poster presentations. The themes discussed are:

  • Renewables – Solar, Biomass, Hydrogen

  • Theory, Spectroscopy, Model Catalysts

  • Micro- and Mesoporous catalytic materials

  • (Bio)Catalysis and Organic Synthesis

  • Heterogeneous Catalysis

  • Homogeneous Catalysis

  • Coordination chemistry

  • Applied Catalysis & Processes

Career development and opportunities session

The Career Development & Opportunities (CDO) session has become a regular event at NCCC. The aim of this pre-recruitment session is to provide PhD-students and post-docs with a better insight into their career opportunities and to give companies and institutes the opportunity to present themselves as potential employers in an informal ambiance. It is organized in the evening of Monday, March 10, 2014.

Topics

Renewables – Biomass, Hydrogen, Solar. Theory Spectroscopy, Model Catalysts. Micro- and Mesoporous Catalytic Materials. (Bio)Catalysis and Organic Synthesis. Heterogeneous Catalysis. Homogeneous Catalysis. Coordination Chemistry. Applied Catalysis & Processes.
