Abstract

An extremely low cross-polarization reflectarray antenna is presented. The new reflectarray antenna is composed of one simple layer of variable sized T-crosses embedded in a homogeneous dielectric medium. A full wave code based on the Moment Method has been used to perform the analyses. The proposed antenna is an excellent candidate for many applications such as radar and long distance communication due to its extremely high polarization purity, lower than −38.5 dB in the diagonal plane within the main beam at the center frequency.
