Frauengestalten in populären Artusromanen der Gegenwart

Abstract

Since the 1980s more and more Arthurian novels appeared that contain elements of esoteric ideology and also strongly emphasise a female perspective. This article focuses on the influence of such esoteric elements on the perception of the female characters. It will be asked if the female perspective contains emancipatory elements or if it rather proposes conventional images of women.
