The 29th International Symposium on the Chemistry of Natural Products and the 9th International Conference on Biodiversity (ISCNP-29 & ICOB-9) is planned to be held in İzmir-Turkey, 24-27 September 2016. The symposium will focus on the advancement of international collaboration and communication in interdisciplinary areas involving natural product chemistry and biodiversity-related and pharmaceutical sciences. The intent is to provide an intimate and relaxed environment to stimulate fresh thinking and creative ideas in a scientific field that impacts so importantly on life and medical sciences. The symposium will emphasize the importance of natural product chemistry and biodiversity for sustainable development and promote novel research and collaborations by bringing together experts and interested parties from all over the world and from diverse bodies from academia to industry and government. The conference will be a multidisciplinary event considering all the major areas of natural product chemistry, including synthesis processes, catalysis, environmentally benign solvents, education, policy, and many other interesting topics. Interfaces with other sciences and other research areas will be actively encouraged. Key topics will include:

  1. Chemical Basis of Biodiversity

  2. Chemistry of Natural Products

  3. Biosynthesis and Chemical Biology

  4. Green and Sustainable Chemistry Challenge

  5. Novel Bioactive Natural Compounds

  6. Molecular Mode of Action on Natural Products and Drugs
