The 8th European Silicon Days will bring together research and industrial scientists and students from Europe and around the globe to present and discuss the latest and the most exciting aspects of silicon chemistry. This follows the highly successful European Silicon Days conferences in Berlin (2014, jointly with the 17thInternational Symposium on Silicon Chemistry), Lyon (2012) and Vienna (2009).

The aim of the meeting is to develop a continuing and intensified dialogue between academia and business. At the newly created Wielkopolska Centre for Advanced Technologies (WCAT) in Poznan, the multidisciplinary centre focused on design and characterization of new materials and biomaterials of multiple applications, we will create a forum for exchanging new ideas among the world’s leading as well as young scientists within the silicon community.
