Abstract

Full publication of P.Oxy. IV 809 descr., a fragmentary sale of a female slave fromOxyrhynchus dating from 98-102 CE and currently housed in the Carnegie Museum of NaturalHistory. Its prescript contains the largest number of agoranomi (eight) attested in a singledocument, who are probably identical to those appearing in P.Turner 19 (101 CE).
