Abstract
Although numerous studies have been dedicated to the rescript of Mark Antony, copiedout on the verso of the Anonymus Londinensis, the context in which this text was written has beenlittle studied. The rescript could be closely connected to the medical text on the recto, notably byits content, which mentions the privileges granted to a guild of winners of the Sacred Games andof crowned winners at Ephesus, a city with a renowned medical tradition.
