Carolin Ruther (Dr. phil.) hat an der Universität Augsburg Europäische Ethnologie, Soziologie und Kunstgeschichte studiert. 2017 wurde sie dort mit einer Arbeit über den Alltag von Prothesenträgern promoviert. Seit 2018 ist sie persönliche Referentin des Direktors an der Kinderklinik und Kinderpoliklinik des Dr. von Haunerschen Kinderspitals der LMU München, zuvor war sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Augsburger Lehrstuhl für Europäische Ethnologie/Volkskunde tätig.
