Abstract

This chapter explores the critical role of innovation as a strategic tool for navigating entrepreneurial uncertainty, where economic volatility, technological disruptions, and geopolitical tensions demand adaptive responses to sustain growth and competitive edge. It emphasizes how innovation enables entrepreneurs to reimagine business models, adapt products and services to evolving demands, and transform challenges into opportunities for resilience and expansion. Key topics include open innovation through collaborative ecosystems to leverage external knowledge (Bogers et al., 2018), disruptive approaches to reshape industries (Christensen, 1997), and design thinking for empathy-driven solutions (Lewrick et al., 2018). Agile methodologies and rapid experimentation facilitate quick iterations and feedback loops to validate ideas efficiently (Eggers & Song, 2024), while technological transformations via AI, blockchain, and IoT optimize operations and create value. Sustainable and ethical innovation addresses global issues like climate change and AI biases, ensuring responsible practices (Floridi et al., 2021).
