Abstract
This is a light survey on the author’s joint work with Wolmer Vasconcelos in the 1980s. There is a clear purpose throughout to using a leisurely style, instead of a dry mathematical exposé of theorems and their corollaries, most of which are well known to this distinct readership. In addition, an effort has been made to keeping the air of the corresponding period through the results and their statements, so the reader has a sense of streaming.
