Christianity says that Jesus Christ was both true man and true god. But how can this exactly be thought? This book provides a detailed account of how Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, one of the most influential and interesting thinkers of modernity, addressed this question. The author then assesses Hegel's answer from both theological and philosophical perspectives and goes on to sketch his own solution. Finally, he investigates the way contemporary theology both explicitly and implicitly deals with Hegel.
