Abstract
One of the best strategies to control surface corrosion is using protective coatings. A set of protective coatings created from different materials, such as organic, have been studied for their use as a barrier in controlling surface degradation. However, defects and porosities usually occur inside organic coatings during the applying processes or hardening stage, which can negatively affect the corrosion protection performance of such layers. Incorporating fillers can effectively enhance the barrier properties and corrosion resistance. Carbon-based nanofillers have achieved increasing attention due to their magnificent properties to address the mentioned issues and improve the durability and impermeability of aggressive species
